Any and all members of Congress will succumb (sooner or later) to the lure of lobbyist cash and prizes. This just proves that the US has the best government money can buy.

When in doubt, vote ‘em out.

I’d rather have a do nothing legislature then a do something frightening legislature,

NOT voting assures nothing will get done. Like New Zealand, voting should be mandatory. Even with all our idiots, it might improve the odds of folks getting more informed before they vote.

In the States, forcing people to do something certainly doesn’t cause them to do more research.
