Ted makes a good point. People are so tired of self serving politicians who double talk and change positions with the perceived prevailing public winds. Congress has been stalled for years now, accomplishing nothing other than Obama bashing. Unfortunately Trump is a plain talking snake oil salesman. It is the lack of any credible candidates that allows him to lead in the polls.Unfortunately he would be a disaster as president. Maybe we can write in a candidate?

….aaaaaand because you’re stupid. Stupid to want that. .How well did letting Loki run amok work for the Iraqis? The Libyans? The French in the 1790s?

After Claudius the greatest days of the Roman Empire were yet to come. And the Empire in the West lasted another 422 years, and in the East another 1400 years until the fall of Constantinople to the Turks.

I recently watched “The Dead Zone” again. Trump rather reminds me of the Greg Stillson character running for senator.

Whatever Claudius said was probably in Latin.

Rall’s assessment on Trump is correct—it would the only reason I would vote for him..However, the decision over who was going to be the GOP candidate in the 2016 election was already made in 2012 by the GOP leadership and Trump, along with all the other non-Bush candidates are only in this race as “Window Dressing”—in the end, Jeb Bush will be the GOP’s candidate..And if you think the Democrats are going to be better about this, they’re not—because they have already chosen their candidate for the November 2016 election, and it is Hillary Rodham Clinton..Unfortunately, Sanders and any other candidate on that ticket are just “Window Dressing” to give us the appearance that this was truly a “democratic” process, just like the GOP did on their side..The fix is already in on the 2016 elections..I may just throw my vote away on this one.

Here’s my only problem with calling Bernie a socialist: he has never advocated for nationalizing industry and central control. He advocates for a tax code that served us well until 1980 and a strong safety net.
