seems to me that the problem is not naming but knowing who put them there. if you know who put them there than you don’t need to know who they are because you already know who’s robot they will be. unless of course they go all ‘i, robot’ on us and then we may as well not have a supreme court as it will only mimics what it is told to or coerced into saying

The Supreme Court has historically been less publicity-hungry….

Sorry Pig, there were, all told, TEN Supremes. Florence Ballard, Cindy Birdsong, Susaye Greene, Lynda Laurence, Barbara Martin, Betty McGlown (unsure if McGlown should alphabetically be before or after Martin given the fact that Mc is a shortening of Mac), Scherrie Payne, Diana Ross, Jean Terrell, and Mary Wilson. The original ’59-60 Primettes lineup was Ballard, McGlown, Ross, and Wilson. McGlown was replaced in the ’60-62 lineup with Martin during the time it was the Primettes/Supremes.. Martin was gone in the’62-’67 which saw the Supremes become a trio of the remaining members. The Diana Ross and the Supremes ’67-’70 lineup saw Ballard replaced by Birdsong. Then Diana Ross left and the ’70-’72 Supremes brought in Terrell. ’72-’73 Supremes lineup sees Birdsong gone and Laurence in. Birdsong is back in the ’73-’76 lineup with Payne coming in with here and Laurence and Terrell gone. The final lineup, ’76-’77 sees Birdsong again gone and Greene in. Mary Wilson is the only constant for the group. She was in every single lineup of the group’s nearly twenty year active span. Yes, I had to look it up.

When asked if he could identify the Speaker of the House in Civics class, a student replied “My mother.”Many people don’t know the 3 branches of government. never mind the 9 justices.

Goat just discovered that when it comes to Pig’s grasp of reality, there is a mountain high enough and a river deep enough.

Due to lack of character definition, I decided to attempt to completely ignore many of current political leaders of the U.S.

However, every now and then, a few names do manage to slip past the firewalls. These name are why I tend to vote for whichever idiot is NOT currently in office – I call it ‘chaos voting’.There have been a few times when I have voted for a particular person – usually when I feel certain that candidate would provide the most entertainment during press conferences.

Actually, I’m thinking that we need to give Pig some props for even knowing there are supposed to be Nine.I’ll bet if you did a random survey in any shopping mall that half the people wouldn’t even know that much.

Nine is really an arbitrary number.Previous administrations have attempted to increase the number of justices to pack the court with people of their preferred social, civil, ethical and judicial faults/virtues.
