Every day in which we have a shift of consciousness, a change of perception, every day we experience an “aha!” moment, is a new day—even if we’re an accountant stuck behind a desk all day. It’s all in the mind!

Adventure is where you find it, whether that’s on a distant mountaintop, in your own backyard, in a book, or “simply” in your own mind.

One of the most un-Zen examples of this generally clueless strip.

The sun does not change…..your personal experience under it changes.Life is what you make it to be.He chose his path, it took his life but it was his life to use as he wished.

I may be less reckless and high-risk than I once was, but it’s still nice to let my inner Evel Knievel out to play, even if it’s tempered for my age and fizzical condition. (There were quite a few inner “adventures” too, then being the 60s).

my tool for adventure is my motorcycle.

Is no one else seeing this as someone who spends his BODILY days behind his computer (being the “employee of the month” and all), while spending his SPIRITUAL days exploring all his eyes, mind, and imagination can offer? Perhaps, the “zen” message is along those lines, and therefore MUCH more realistic, applicable, and uplifting to the “common” man and woman? I’m thinking of those millions of us who live every day accepting, even embracing, the responsibilities of family, community, and society, and who might really NEED the occasional reminder that life can still be JOYFUL FUN! Maybe? Yes? (Said with hope. Not that I could use this reminder myself, or anything.);-)
