There is something called a multi party system which most countries…oops, most wimpish, non-Exceptional, non-taller-standing, non-indispensable nations use which suit them just fine. Of course, an Exceptional, Indispensable God-Blesssed Empire can’t have anything to do with that sort of thing, can it?

Actually, the whole situation can be fixed if the party of insane is simply voted out. Or as Justin Amash of MI said, “The public is not behind us, and that’s a real problem for our party.”

Until there is no electoral college, any voting changes will be flawed.

Ok Robby…….Obamacare sucks. 80% of Americans were already happy with the best healthcare in the world until Barrakk messed it up. “If you like your doctor……….”The Iran deal just means that the crazy Mullahs will just get more money to fund terrorism and might have to wait a few years to get their nukes.Immigration “Reform”: The only thing that has to be done with immigration is ENFORCE THE LAWS!As for the two-party system, I agree.Who’s dumb enough these days to buy into the Democrat mantra of relying on government to live.

The Republican philosophy in a nutshell: “I don’t have a better plan but this one has to go!”

Yes, the politicians are all about saying “No” all the time but don’t have an alternative to give. The Republicans are MOST guilty of it, but the others have been doing it a lot too.

And yes, our two-party political system is both stupid and promotes lazy politics/voting. No wonder the government’s gone to heck.

That said, Obamacare is the only one of those plans I have an issue with it, and I don’t want it so much as gone (I can see the good behind it) but rather tweaked and improved upon. But try telling that to these knuckleheads on Capital Hill and it’s like you’re suggesting signing a deal with the devil.

The other two I am for. The Iran Deal is promoting peace no matter how you look at it which we desperately need a bit more of, and starts it by showing some trust on both sides. You can’t have peace without showing some trust and giving someone the benefit of the doubt.

I could go on and on about immigration, but it will suffice for me to say that I’m very pro-immigration and have no quibbles on that front.

The only way to prevent people from coming to this country illegally is to remove the reason for them coming. Fine their employers so heavily that they pay for returning the illegals to their country of origin and are very careful never to hire anyone who is going to cause them to pay that fine again. Problem solved.

We are bound by a long tradition of binary government. There are only two choices to be considered, figuratively, a one or a zero … the US is digital. Any other values, being a superposition of the two, must be purged from the system. This would be like adding carbon to iron and expecting the alloy to be stronger than either of its components. In a winner take all political system, there can be only one value that prevails for years, perhaps decades afterward … and those not in control must whine and complain, but never cooperate. Likewise quantum superposition, which allows both values ( and all the intermediate states as well) to exist at the same time , would have to be discarded as a solution. Interference is the only accepted way to govern, reinforcement of common ideals through cooperation must be thwarted to maintain our binary ways. As surely as the sun travels around this flat earth, we must continue, undaunted, on this exceptional trajectory.

While we are at it, can anyone tell me what’s democratic about:A 60% Majority,A Filibuster,An indefinite hold on a vote,A Gerrymander,The already mentioned Electoral College,Earmarks that have nothing to do with the actual bill, and a bunch more that escape me at that moment.

“While we are at it, can anyone tell me what’s democratic about:”

“A 60% Majority,” In a multi party system this would make sense, “A Filibuster,”A real, not virtual filibuster would be a good thing for minority opinions being heard.“An indefinite hold on a vote,” This would only make sense if greater understanding was the need for the deferment..“A Gerrymander,” An apolitical districting system would allow for more accurate representatives being elected.“The already mentioned Electoral College,” At best, a compromise, but to justify with America’s uneven population distribution.

“Earmarks that have nothing to do with the actual bill,” There are unscrupulous people that the parties choose not to weed out, and this is one of their favorite tools.
