Then again, that ‘frizzy look’ was in vogue during my high school & college years .. which were also Hugh & Tess’ high school & college years, within the strip .. so, yeah.
I remember one time, when I was about 15 or 16, I decided I wanted a mildly “frizzy” look for my date that night (I remember: we went to see “Coal Miner’s Daughter”). I washed my hair that morning & put it in about a dozen braids & stayed like that until after I was dressed for my date. I took my hair down, brushed it out…and I looked like Roseanna Roseannadanna! (For those who don’t know, look it up.)
