I’m with Maria on this one, Honesty is best. She needs to learn though how to soften the effect on those who can’t handle the truth. Especially since the question was asked, she could say, “I was thinking of going outside after it warmed up some, but I wanted to finish watching my show first.” Might be the same results, but easier to accept than “That’s the plan”.
