Alice is going to leave scorch marks on the bedspread and walls with those eyes. But she’ll probably fall asleep and either miss dinner, or wake up and think nothing has happened.

Joe’s self-imposed mission in life is to educate the blighted masses as to what we SHOULD like, what we SHOULD think, what we SHOULD believe, what we SHOULD find funny. It is not enough for him to disapprove, he is obligated to broadcast his disapproval. And if we find a strip funny but not in the WAY he thinks we should find it funny, he kindly straightens us out.
