Stupid restaurant. I thought that the customer was always right.

If Garfield can supply the ingredients, he could have shown them to Jon when asked what he wanted.

For someone with so many pets, Jon subjects an awful lot of animals to a brutal cartoon fate.

Wonder who’s going to eat that pizza?

I request ‘anchovies’ …yet I ask if they use blue or brown eyed ones…..nails ‘em every time!

This is a cartoon anyway, and in cartoons pets are perfectly capable of communicating with their owners and vice versa. Take that capacity away and the humor is mostly gone.

In any case such a pizza is far too unrealistic even for a cartoon strip. Garfield could have imagined, couldn’t he?

How could JOE know if he doesn’t have a cat? I own a couple so the strip appears perfectly normal to me.

Who knows? Maybe Pappa Johns has at least the canaries. (Do canaries taste like chicken, I wonder?)

Shmiss - while lots of folks comment on JADs comments, it is NOT ACCEPTABLE to take personal shots like that at anyone!

Just gave me another idea for a pizza topping. Yummmm! Dried prunes.

Buy the pizza and tie to the front of your car on the way home and pass by the park… Birds, fish in the pond and cat nip growing like weeds… Pardon the pun! And when you get home problem solved.

Sighhhhhhhh! Ahem! Jon should know better to make a homemade pizza with Garfield’s favorite toppings (canaries, goldfish and extra catnip) and then, put the pizza in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes. Instead of calling the pizza parlor to make an order. Garfield will be so delightful to gulp all of the pizza at once!

When didn’t Garfield want a pozza?

rotts………while it may seem inappropriate to you, JOD seems to enjoy insulting everyones intelligence with his stupid, intended or unintended, comments. This means that he is “Open Game” to anyone who feels they need to take a shot. As they say “If you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen” but I suspect JOD actually enjoys provoking responses ‘cos nobody is really that dumb.

Now this one would be funny as a Garfield Minus Garfield, then in the last panel, Jon could just stand there looking like he does in panel 3 or 5.

Good idea Wildmustang except pizzas are baked very fast at high temperature. Usually 10-15 minutes for a large pizza, less time for a smaller one.

It seems to me that Joe made a perfectly acceptable comment, and it is often other posters who feel free to take shots at him.

I don’t like cats, but living in the country, you have to have them around or be smothered in mice. I do have one of those Tea cup Taco dogs (I’d make a fool of myself trying to spell it) and it is certainly able to communicate with me. In fact it is so smart that it can bark in seven different languages.

You mentioned about the “Tea Cup Taco dog” was called Chihuahua.

Garfield is the Dom and Jon and that poor dog are his subs.

Give me a break. Everybody knows the cat is the boss!! At least everyone who has ever lived with a cat knows that.

Pico’s in Fairfax used to offer frog legs as a pizza topping. $20. It was the kind of things teenagers ordered on a dare.

And tomorrow’s strip, Garfield will want an extra large pizza with a whole swordfish. better keep making those calls, John.

Jon being able to read Garfield’s mind is fine with me. What bothers me a little is the inconsistency. At times, Jon acts like he can’t.

I like this one. Especially the funny looking fish trying to draw Garfield as funny-looking as they are.

I can’t say catnip would make a good topping.
