Alice is still eager of the fish-slapping bears I see.

Someone needs to teach Alis Monty Python’s fish-slapping dance.

I seem to have missed Megan O’Grady the first time around (not sure why); she comes as quite an impressive debut (yeah, Pacopuddy, she is indeed huge). She has both sturdy handler’s gloves and a cheery expression—at least until Alice puts her to the test! What animals will she have? Maybe a Slow Loris (sorry; couldn’t resist)?

Alice will not yield this obsession easily. However, I suspect Megan may be about to enlighten our diminutive heroine as to the reality of bear existence. The bear-bones truth, as it were.

Right. She’s got one in her hip pocket.

When the “Animal Lady” came to my son’s school, they had a huge snake named… you got it… Monty Python. They asked a few of us moms to come up front and let them put Monty on our shoulders. He was heavier than I could have imagined! The sheer strength was amazing, and frightening.

Were it in my power, I would see to it that Alice got a look at a fish-slapping bear. A really, really close look.

Ms. O’Grady might redeem herself if she has a Monkey tucked in her Pocket??

My goodness, I love that kid!!!

Why am I thinking that Megan O’Grady, the Animal Lady would be a good match for Bill Nye, the Science Guy…? :-)

Personally, I’m holding out for a bear-slapping fish.
