Cats and dogs are all individuals. They’re all delightful friends once you get to know them. And to really know them is the only way to know how cute they may be!
Don’t get me wrong, I like both. But cats smarter? How many cats have you seen helping blind people cross the street? Or assisting people in wheelchairs? Or working with the police?
@Abby – So you’re admitting cats are smarter than dogs – because they know how to not become subservient to humans? (Though some have been known to alert their people to fires, or other such things – but that’s probably not out of subservience, but because they are smart enough to realize humans can open the door more easily, and besides, who wants to train a new set of humans?)@Anona – I agree that every dog, cat, human, etc, is an individual, and smarter than some others in one way or another.

From what I read, scientists think dogs are smarter than cats, and dogs are getting smarter by interacting with humans, and cats are not.
Despite that, I like cats better than dogs, except in this strip. I like that cute Odie a thousand times more than that mean Garfield.
