Odd… none of my friends who own military-style firearms act that way. Must be one of those ‘ignorant stereotype’ things, like saying that all pit bulls are bad, all people with dark skin are going to rob you, etc.
The Wolf calls it about right. I have lots of friends, with guns, and own them myself, but their definitely IS a difference with those who fantasize with military style weapons. That much firepower has no legitimate purpose but killing people, by design, and bringing wars to other countries is concerning, but scary when we see the wars on our streets. And the cops are NOT by any means, the primary shooters!
We already TRIED that whole “Making Alcohol Illegal” thing. The Crime & Murder Rates Went UP.So far up that we Repealed that amendment.Want to eliminate the Doper Criminal?Do it the same way we eliminated the mobster Bootleggers: Make it Legal and Tax it. .From a Report on how Colorado is doing after One Year of Legal MJ:…Here’s what we know so far: According to the state’s department of revenue, the first ten months of legal marijuana sales have resulted in nearly $40 million in tax revenue. The city of Denver saw a decrease in violent crime rates in the first 11 months of 2014, following a similar trend in 2013. Statewide traffic fatalities continue to decline, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.Upwards of $8 million has been allocated to fund youth education and drug prevention efforts. And the state is enjoying economic growth and the lowest unemployment rate in years. - See more at: http://www.drugpolicy.org/news/2015/01/marijuana-legalization-colorado-one-year-status-report#sthash.xMJ2Kzc0.dpuf
Why would any responsible gun owner want to carry an AR-15 into an airport? That’s what some guy just did in Atlanta and then was concerned at the way security followed him around until he left. He felt like a black man in a Wal-Mart.
Tarredandfeathered: Actually prohibition did not cause crime, the post-WW-I rapid urbanization (“How ya gonna keep ‘em down on the farm after they’ve seen Paree”) to the anonymous big cities did; but who could get emotional over rapid urbanization? Organized crime in that period got their money from prostitution and bank robbing. Bootlegging continued long after repeal, and it wasn’t just moonshine they were transporting either. After all, the time between passage and enforcement of the 18th amendment gave the wealthy time to overstock their cellars and when they started to run out, it was repealed.

The double entendre is icky, but legit. Really should have separate closed rooms for the “stroking”.

Smoking rooms in airports are like smoking sections in small restaurants. The stink doth spread. Not as quickly as flying bullets, but still….

Or maybe we should listen to what works instead of the fantasies of weapons fetishes.

I’m sorry about your sister, but you did NOT lose her to “an American made hand gun”. You lost her to the will of an idiot wielding that gun.
