Yeah, having to go through a rubber stamp court is a total oppression of our intelligence community’s rights to spy on American citizens.

The point of the court, even if it is a “rubber stamp”, is to at least make “probable cause” the issue addressed by a branch of government NOT implementing those searches, as in Constitutional division of powers. (Doesn’t say that system can’t be corrupted over time.)

I kind of understand the hypocracy of the Republicans/Fox “news” viewers, but I absolutely do not get their total confidence in the most dangerous parts of Big Government:

The so-called ‘conservatives’ are totally convinced that Obama used the IRS to destroy the TEA Party. Debunked, but they all believe it.

Yet, they don’t believe that Obama would or did use the NSA or other security agencies against the TP or the GOP.

Evidently, they are convinced that because they all believe in truth, justice, and the American way — and that they all have Nothing To Hide, that they are immune from being spied upon. You know, the NSA/CIA would never do that to the ‘good guys’.

That, in turn means that the NSA/CIA, et al, is not answerable to the president.

Doesn’t seem to bother them at all.
