I think our troops getting killed ought to read those poor insurgents their Miranda Rights before we shoot back. After all, they aren’t enemy combatants since they don’t wear uniforms. We ought to remove airport security as it may traumatized people. If we threw all borders open, illegal immigrants would not be subjected to harsh conditions.

..I think the tea baggers think that the Constitution is nothing but one BIG government restriction and that it should be eradicated..but think about it..if you get rid of the Constitution what will stop Obama from taking away our guns???…

Lew, gee, if we weren’t there, they wouldn’t be insurgents for us to worry about. Now, if some big powerful country were to invade us and our government collapsed, would you go out there and fight against them or would you sit back and let them come. Fighting against them would, of course, make you an insurgent.
However, terror suspects in this country can not be insurgents because no one has invaded the US. And this toon is talking about those who attempt acts of terror here.
Rights are what this country is all about. Granting those rights does not guarantee people won’t be convicted and sent away forever - only that they will get a fair trial. Why does that threaten you? And what on earth does upholding Miranda have to do with “removing airport security as it may traumatize people”?
