The Uh-Oh Baby is the harbinger of ultimate doom. The earth shakes at his approach. His breath is like unto a hurricane. His wrath cracks the very foundations of creation. All children must tread the path of righteousness, else they be cast out into the infinite void by the Uh-Oh Baby.

In addition to growing, the Uh-Oh baby has also gained considerable volume dynamics!

gulfcoastgrl, to elaborate on (but not detract from) notbugme’s answer, the Uh-Oh Baby is a baby who can say “UH-oh!” and seemingly nothing else. Alice and the gang figure he’s giving a warning (but no details) of some upcoming catastrophe, so they freak out whenever he appears.

There’s something happening here, What it is ain’t exactly clear. There’s a baby saying “UH-oh!” over there, Telling me I’ve got to beware…

Doom looms, dear friends, doom looms.

Uh Oh Baby made a cameo appearance in a recent Bizarro strip… it was May 16.

Oh no oh no, it’s the big UH-OH! What it means, no one can know! Does he parrot bigger warnings, or in words that he’s just forming, call out just to see the fear? UH-OH baby, he is near!

The lyrics fritzoid posted are from the song “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield.

“Stop children, what’s that sound. Everybody look what’s going down.”

I almost went to Kent State that year, but decided to go elsewhere..almost on a coin flip.

    LillyA Thanks…….. uh ………. I think.

Boy do I feel stupid. (Boy am I stupid, you say?) Young and Stills came from Buffalo Springfield to join Crosby and Nash.

It’s strange. I read the words and heard the song in my head with those great voices and instrumentation and forgot this rather important detail. I still think CSNY-BF-Byrds(Crosby) produced some of the finest music ever.

Don’t feel too bad, poohbear; I don’t doubt that CSN&Y play “For What It’s Worth” in concert fairly often, same as they’ve been known to play “Mr. Soul.”

(“CSNY-BF-Byrds”? Buffalo Fringspield? Silly old bear!)
