I cat would do this until I put a strip of foil slightly wrinkled up on the dresser. He jumped down as fast as he jumped up there and hasn’t been on it since.
Our cat got up on the mantle where a cut glass vase stood. Knowing she wasn’t allowed up there, she hid in the transom except we caught her. She never got up there again.
