Transcript:
Man: First kid? Larry the Croc: No. Is second. Man: Well, it's my first for me. It's as exciting as flying to the moon or something. Larry the Croc: For me, res as exciting as cleaning the roof gutters. Mother Croc: I heard that, Larry! Larry the Croc: Da thrill is gone, woomun! Da thrill is gone!

Already at that stage, huh? Wonder how long pregnancy lasts for an anthromorphic croc. Patty was quite pregnant yesterday, considering what anthropomorphic means, could she have been nine months along? Or is it more like a real crocodile? If following the meaning of anthropomorhic, really would show how much Larry pays attention.

Did Stephan intend to reference a B.B. King song (“The Thrill Is Gone”) so soon after Mr. King passed away?

Hang in there, guy waiting with Larry.

Did Patis go back in time to the 1950s when men sit around in waiting room to find out about the birth of their kid? Where are the cigarettes?

Best strip in a long time. Larry the croc is a fine tribute to B.B. King. How else can he have remembered him as Steve Pastis has done. I reall enjoyed thisone.

Very clever and a good gag, as well.

Crocs must have really short gestation periods – from announcement of pregnancy to giving birth in 24 hours!

Larry has a big mouth. I suspect Patty will be “explaining the facts of life” to him for some time after the birth.Congratulations (sort of), Larry. I suggest you run, don’t walk, out for a beer with the other crocs, and don’t come back until Labor Day (teehee; Labor Day—get it?)….

A common experience can certainly bring people together who would never otherwise talk to each other, but I don’t know, sitting in a maternity ward having a heart to heart with a croc…I wonder if he’ll bring up the possibility of eating his own young.

At least Larry is not in the delivery room.

R.I.P. B.B. King. A nice tribute (if a little off the wall). Oh wait, this is Pastis.

Of course, this is all about when a man* loves a woman* (*or anthropomorphic croc). RIP Percy Sledge as well.

I’m just glad that no one has given us a lesson on how crocs really give birth.

What the world needs even less than more people – more crocs (especially offspring of Larry)

My husband admitted to me that sitting in the room while I was in labor for 5 hours was so boring. There was nothing on tv and this was before smartphones caught on so he was mainly just watching me as I writhed around in pain. I understand what he means though. When I’ve sat in waiting rooms in hospitals it is the most tedious thing on earth.

Larry ought to get the lemmings to clean his gutters, because if they happen to fall, well, they were going to, anyway!

congrats @ bsox52-my grandson’s due date is today – first child for my son and daughter – waiting to hear if the baby will keep us waiting-glad my son doesn’t have to sit in the waiting room like i did when he was born – not only boring (8 hrs) but wondering constantly if everything was all right-Mr. King send down some heavenly blues!! cause you sure could play them

RIP Mr. King. Good job Stephan.

Cleaning roof gutters can be pretty exciting, depending on how you do it. Some company hired some workers (crocs???) to clean gutters in my town about a month ago, and they tried to clean them out with a blowtorch. The smoke from the resulting fire was visible 50 miles away.

I didn’t think Larry would be a BB King fan.

As a music lover and a fan of Pearls Before Swine, today’s strip is the perfect marriage of the two. One of the funnier ones I’ve ever read.

Another croc? Oh, boy. Wonder if he/she will be more like mom or dad (as people wondered yesterday) … This could be good.

Real crocodiles do, but we’re talking anthropomorphic crocs here. Anthropomorphism means to exhibit human features and/or characteristics. How often do real crocodiles spend an entire day walking around on their hind legs?

The Crocus Lazybuttus get tired of birth after they find out the “joy” of a kid.
