So, the unrest isn’t about the Police, but it’s about poverty now….

“I thought Barry said over his 6 years in office he made everything great for workers?”.I think he said he wanted to try. Never did anyone believe the republicans would totally dig in and make it impossible. Yet, they did.

@WiseOrator – I don’t agree that the Ultra-wealthy are a bane on society. I don’t know any personally and I have never had a conversation with any but I also know that they haven’t kept me from getting and holding a job.

I think a more credible bane on society is those that feel that the government owes them a living. That have failed to improve their skill set and keep up with the times. That teach their kids that the government owes them a living, too, because life’s not fair and society will expect them to work.

The first step to improving your lot in life is to stop blaming others. The next step is to figure out how you can develop the skills that will make your life better.

    You’ve been absolutely flaming today.

The best analogy I’ve heard is shaking a bottle of Coke. if someone shakes the bottle and opens it in your face, do you blame the soda inside for exploding?

Who’s been ignoring anything? The government (taxpayers) have poured TRILLIONS of dollars into “poverty” the last fifty years. If that qualifies as “ignoring”, then we have no hope, truly. American “poor” often have automobiles, televisions, cell phones, etc. There is simply no excuse to live like this in America. Even when you go to juvenile prison in America, there are workforces in the thousands striving to give you treatment and education. America gives more opportunity than any country in history.

@Night-gaunt – You associate their ability to give to political causes with controlling the electorate. They aren’t buying elections – They are giving their chosen candidate the funds to get his or her message out to the masses. The masses still get to vote for the candidate they choose.

You just don’t like it because it disagrees with your political philosophy. If a conservative gets some funds to project a message of family values, self reliance, smaller government and pro-jobs you assume they bought the election.

When a liberal gets money from Unions and Socialist and blathers on about how we all need to help each other by taxing away the hard earned income of working citizens then they are joining in the political process.

For DECADES the Left has enjoyed unfettered speech in the political arena because they could use Liberal rags and radio stations to get their message out without any problem. Now that the conservatives are doing the same thing you progressives pi$$ and moan about how they are stealing the election.

Money is Speech and not the purchase of votes.

Voters are still free to choose whomever they like in the voting booth but NOW they have someone explaining to them how morally and ethically bankrupt the progressive approach is.

Democrats love the poor….They’re a guaranteed vote every 4 years so why not keep them poor and government dependent?Modern day slavery is the Democrat Party way!
