What’s interesting is that "advanced’ is supposed to mean intelligence, intellect, and processing of observed facts; not at all something seen from “deniers” or others sucked into the corporate propaganda machine. Well, when they have their reigions supposedly supporting their positions as well, as in not recognizing that “dominion” means PROTECTION AND CARE, not destroy as fast as possible, ‘cause Jesus is coming and God’s going to just wipe it all out anyway! (James Watt lives!!)
There’s nobody I know of who’s technically better than Buchanan, but I sometimes feel he gets too caught up in his technique. I never played much electric, I’m a finger-style player, and I gravitate to a lot of the old finger-style players. I’ve been listening to Frank Hovington some lately, and I like him a lot. He reminds me a little of Mississippi John Hurt, though he plays slide. I also like Memphis Minnie a lot these days. And Blind Willie McTell.
Great music, everything you mention. I know what you mean about appreciating the greats. On a slightly different topic, I’m just reading Roz Chast’s cartoon memoir about the death of her parents: “Can’t we talk about something more pleasant?” I think it’s great. Very moving. She’s one of my favorite cartoonists, and it’s fascinating to see her stretch out with an extended story. I recommend it highly to comic fans or just anybody.
Thanks for the tips — I will check these out. I’m a word person, myself, and I can’t draw a straight line, or any kind of line with a shape, but I love to look at good art, and I’m fascinated by graphic story-telling.

I know it. Also “I Like Beer”. (As it happens, I like beer.) He rhymes “vermouth” and “uncouth” — that’s classy.
