Marvel did this once when they had the rights to Godzilla back in the 1970s. Hank Pym shrank Godzy and he was roughly human size for a while until it wore off and Godzilla returned to normal size — right in the middle of Marvel Manhattan. The following issue, the last in the series, had nearly every Marvel hero there was trying to battle Godzilla. He more or less ignored everyone and ultimately waded into the Atlantic wade swam away from the Marvel Universe,
