I read something years ago about a young boy commenting to his mother and minister as to why their family dog died. The little boy told them that the dog had learned all he had to in his short life, while people need to live longer to learn all the dog learned. And that’s why he only lived a short time on our planet. The mother and minister were in awe of the young boy’s wisdom.

As a dog lover, I have to agree with Earl.
A border collie named Kathy jumped up me because I started stroking her when she ran over. She was lovely!
