Apparently the term A Fall For Grace is not a metaphor either.

You are obviously a liberal as you reject religion. What I find interesting about liberals is they are full of empathy and acceptance for all other points of view and opinions. Except for those who hold religious beliefs. Where they become very bigoted and narrow minded.

While the Bible is my primary literary source of belief in a supreme being, I don’t believe in just one book. The belief in someone or something divinely greater than us all is nearly universal among religions. Either we are all delusional, or the majority of us are right. The echoes of our lives exist forever.

“I don’t think I’ve ever responded to one of your posts. In this case, however, I have to state that your entire post presupposes a belief in a supreme being.I do not have such a belief.”.Then is the door of transcendence forevermore closed to you? [Note I myself don’t ascribe to any Christian beliefs, and by that term I have something more Buddhist in mind]

Nab is a person of faith. Granted, this is not the proper forum for his lectures, and his constant recital of his secular honorifics is haughty, not Christ-like. But, really…why is there such a need here to criticize people of faith? This isn’t the proper forum for that either.*It’s the comics. Just ignore comments you don’t agree with, and move on.

Yes, if you’ve been good (from their point of view), the wings are yours! Until, that is, it comes time for your next incarnation; at which point, it’s bye-bye wings! Until the next time you get to Heaven; at which point you get the dubious honor of going through your life in review again, thereby (hopefully) earning your wings again. Up till the next life (in the physical) is to begin; and thus the cycle is perpetuated.

In other words, the wings are never really yours; but are ON LOAN to you from the Powers-That-Be, for as long as you get to remain in the heavens (till the next life is scheduled to get underway, at which point they have to be turned in [again!]).

Gaijinrabbit: What constitutes “cancel”? Your atheism is just another religion. You can’t falsify the existence of God any more than I can prove it; they are both faith statements. The lack of scientific evidence for one is not proof of the other, as a 19th century scientist named Thomas Huxley demonstrated.

Night-Gaunt49: Well, I find it tiresome that atheists have a belief system (which you outline) which cannot be verified nor falsified by any replicable evidence, and then dare to claim first that is not religion, and then on that shaky foundation, claim that it is therefore the truth. You can call a sheep’s tail a leg, but that doesn’t make pentapedal sheep.
