For any given definition of ‘IT’…

Snow way to tell why he or she is still here or there…And snow way to tell how much know there is on that there covered ground……..

I don’t think Wiley intended it that way, but the first 3 panels seem like they would be funny enough for the casual reader. But panel 4 is for those who follow the strip regularly….You know, us weirdos…

Sigh. 2" of snow fell, and another 2-4 is expected overnight. Just when I put my winter stuff away and hung up the shovel.

I enjoy Danae, and for those who have come to know and love her panel 4 is a special laugh.

It had snowed in April. Any snow that falls now will melt right away. Least we won’t have a drought.

All Danae gets is an icy stare. Oh how frustrating; believing that a calendar really says what is.

I can’t believe that the 5 best States to retire in are winter weather States. I wouldn’t want to retire in any one of them.

Last week we had several days where the temp all day was above freezing, and most of the snow disappeared.Now it’s back to sub-freezing, after 4 more inches fell.

Still, I’d rather have this than a blazing hot summer.

This seems to be a yearly theme with Danae.

Knew a guy who told me he flew into Albuquerque in the winter from back east somewhere; had to take off and carry 2 layers of outerwear on arrival.

Don’t usually comment on weather, but then again, why not? I have lived in some heavy snow areas. Northern Michigan comes to mind. I moved to near Reno in November. Mildest Winter I’ve seen since living in Florida. Two light snowfalls, temps in the 60s, dry and sunny. 63 in the house is comfy. In KC, it would have been cold at 63. OK so far, but what is the summer gonna be like?

Obviously, Global Warming.

Winter is the one thing about which I completely agree with Danae. Anyone who likes this stuff is either demented or defective.

@westny77Expect those rivers to dwindle, as they will. It’s never too soon to start conserving water.

Hey, Pennsylvania folks, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio folks, too. You have access to the largest fresh water supply in the world. Even though the people of Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin and New York know how to use guns, we’re going to need your help protecting the Great Lakes..They’re coming after them!…..But we have Canada as a back up….

Here, around the Great Lakes, we sail 1000 ft freighters on our fresh drinking water supply just to show off…

As they have been for thousands of years.Our current water economy relies on reserves that are diminishing. It is un-sustainable. What we require is for the Deep Pockets to be forced to provide wealth for the land masses by redistribution of liquid assets.Unfortunately, that requires warming the seas, which will occur naturally when the land is so dry that it has no cooling capacity from the heat sink and evaporative cooling effects of fresh water resources.Now, what we need to do, motivated by our hatred for capitalism, industry and humankind in general, is to reduce the CO2 levels and thus allow the seas to cool more easily without the atmospheric retention of a greenhouse effect to maintain their temperatures. This will increase the harm to and depopulation of the land while the seas warm, and our hatred for mankind will have attained the vengeance for which we thirst.
