Many years ago a group of us would have coffee and breakfast at a local dive before heading out to work. One morning the coffee tasted really bad. We all complained and the waitress made a new pot. A big 100 cup pot. The coffee maker was aluminum. The 2nd pot was as bad as the 1st. We headed to work and came back the next morning. The waitress told us that the night waitress had cleaned the pot out and got all the coffee stains and grime out. That didn’t make sense why the coffee was so bad. Then she added, she forgot to take the rag out! It was discovered after more complaints of bad coffee. So sure, I’ll have a little dirt with my mud.
