I’d like to be a snowbird to Arizona. As for my snowboarding stepbrother-in-law’s Minnesota parents, they go to Mexico.

Sadly, this may be the truth for me.

But at least I’d be able to snowbird.

I am waiting for full retirement. My dad decided to retire at 62 sadly due to company outsourcing work. He did not get over 20 years under. We had very lean times he had to go out of state to work. Hubby put in 36 years decided to retire at 62 I was not happy but his choice. He is 69 with one stent and okay. Company he worked at year after he retired laid-off with war notice 10,000 workers. Job security not so promising. Retails closing.

I just read an article that says a lot of people have to retire earlier than they planned because of their health, having to care for a sick family member, look after grandkids, company downsizing, etc. Both my husband and I had school or gummint jobs – I feel very fortunate. http://www.post-gazette.com/business/money/2015/02/10/Study-Many-retirem-earlier-than-planned/stories/201502050299

I retired at 62 and am living quite well on my small government and private pensions in warm, low-cost Mexico!
