I’d give him one point for originality… Of course, one point out of a hundred is still a failing grade, but at least it’s not a zero :)

Panel 4: Me and my boss almost everyday. Good part? It exercises the brain AND keeps you awake!

Calvin is a genius and should get A+ in philosophy. Unfortunately, this is a history test.

That punch line on panel 4 is priceless – worth real laughter, out aloud.

I’d say Calvin’s the winner here.

The first attempt at imposing gun control on Americans. The British Army confiscated some weapons and ammunition. The colonists objected, using the rest of their weapons and ammunition.

A bunch of Terrorists opened fire on the army……….History very much depends on which side you are on and on who won………and even on who cares about event.

You know, Miss Wormwood teaches a number of things I didn’t learn until long after first grade.

I believe that’s the year Concordians first became snobs, much like their neighbors in Lincoln, Lexington and Carlisle?

Concord NC. About ten miles north of where I am right now. (home of Charlotte Motor Speedway – but then I don’t watch NASCAR races!)

CalvinCalvinCalvinCalvin….Look: Big Moe pounds you into Cheez Whiz every chance he gets. And you’re never going to catch up to him physically. You think he’s humungous now, wait until he discovers steroids..Your only hope for revenge? Become so rich you can buy and sell him after he’s peaked in high school. And while getting good grades isn’t the only way of doing that, it’s got the best rate of return.

Actually unless there is more information that Calvin did not read aloud, he is probably more correct than the assumed answer. A quick internet search brings up at least 5 different cities or towns named Concord right off the bat. The question as written does not give enough information to answer. What was happening in Concord, North Carolina was totally different than what was happening in Concord, California which was different than what was happening in Concord, New Hampshire which was different……..

All logical until he got to the context comment. In this case, the actual context is an exam question to determine if the student in fact learned the lesson assigned. But the creativity involved and its presentation earn high marks …. I’d pass him with extra reading as homework.

This comic is TWENTY YEARS OLD. Much like the Classic Peanuts strips, Calvin and Hobbes is just as funny and poignant now as it was back in ’95. Miss ya, Watterson.
