I heard Phil saw his shadow this morning. How that can happen when Pennsylvania has complete cloud cover, I don’t know.

There are shadows cast even when it’s overcast. Go outside when it’s cloudy and you’ll see. They are simply not as dark and dramatic as when the sun is out. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/wp/2015/02/02/groundhog-day-2015-punxsutawney-phil-sees-shadow-predicts-six-more-weeks-of-winter/

We got about a foot of snow Sunday here in the upper Midwest. The groundhog who disappeared last October into its burrow under our back deck has not yet made an appearance…ribbet.

I would rather leave the groundhog alone and celebrate Imbolc.

Thanks for this.. I remember listening to the program on the radio as a kid inthe early 50’s. Most people I know don’t even remember it, & I really enjoyed it, altho I was about 10 years old.

Ah, so the fact that Batista was bad makes Castro good? Statists are statists, Left or Right. The biggest difference between Stalin and Hitler was the width of their mustaches.

It Must be Groundhog’s Day; I keep hering the same thing over & over again: “I can’t believe the Seahawks ran a passing play on 1st & goal. They had the best running ofense in the league!”, “I can’t believe the Seahawks ran a passing play on 1st & goal. They had the best running ofense in the league!”…
