$1,000 limit and real name of contributors is why Greens are never mentioned in the corporate media – no massive advertizing revenue there, just ideas, and reporting that would constitute reporting news instead of purchased ads.

$34,000 to be a 1%er??!!! What are you imbibing? If you increase that by a factor of 1000 (I know you’re challenged. That’s $3,400,000) you might be close. The average single family home price in my town is in excess of $500,000. Your “1%” figure wouldn’t even constitute a down-payment.

Harleyquinn is pretty much correct about being in the world’s 1% with a relatively modest US salary. This doesn’t take into account how much of your wage it takes to buy a cheeseburger, though. As long as the cost of living here is what it is, more money doesn’t buy as much, so it’s something of an illusion.
