It’s raining in PA this morning, but it was declared the Phil saw his shadow, without benefit of any sunshine. I guess it was the TV lights that did it. So he will see his shadow every year, and there is even less reason to do the whole thing.
Six weeks from Groundhog Day coincides with Spring Equinox. Technically speaking, the groundhog should see his shadow every year, since winter ends at spring equinox. More or less.
