And the moral of this story is: two wrongs make a right?

Reminds me of the followup movie to “A Christmas Story” -“It Runs in the Family” which takes place the following summer when we meet the Bumpus’s and the Old Man takes revenge for a hootenannyt For more on Ralphie and the Old Man check out Ollie Hopnoodle’s Haven of Bliss the Parker family version of National Lampoon’s Summer Vacation with the Griswold’s.

All depends on what you’re responding with, both the material, the SPL volume and the distortion level.

“Apocalypse Now” Ride of the Valkyries (full orchestral) is a good choice, but it has to be both loud and clean.

I’d pick Don Dorsey’s (Telarc Beethoven or Bust) Rondo A Capriccio In G Major Op. 129: ‘Rage over a Lost Penny’ or (Telarc Bachbusters) Toccata & Fugue in D Minor myself. But you better drop serious coin on speakers and amps.

It’s always best to have a firm grip of control over the neighborhood’s annoyances!

OK, I had to change the punchline from “I’m gonna pay for this” to “… not by his own choice” to underline the sad fact that Horace is the only one playing the music. He may come across as too mean now but… that’s how it goes sometimes.

Yeah, I had a neighbor that knocked on my door at 2am; can you believe the nerve of that guy?Fortunately for him, I was awake and practicing my drums.

Kind of reminds me of the Fourth of July at our marina. The same folks would pull in every year the week before the holiday across from our slip, and on the evening of the fourth, they would pipe patriotic music through the speaker on their upper deck at high volume!.It’s not I don’t appreciate some patriotic music on this special USA holiday; but like continuous Christmas music broadcast from Thanksgiving until after New Years, it can be a bit much! Fortunately, we can go below into our cabin and close the cabin doors for a little peace and quiet…
