This is sadly closer to the truth than anyone would want to admit.

This sounds a bit like that nice police officer in San Jose, Phillip White, who posted, among other tweets, this little gem: “By the way if anyone feels they can’t breathe or their lives matter I’ll be at the movies tonight, off duty, carrying my gun.”

There is a thin line between social commentary and just taking a cheap shot at the police.

This is one sided, but true for those areas, and officers who don’t accept all people of all races as having equal worth (and the possibility of equal threat). These officers give them all a bad reputation.

There are places where the police use the weapons provided judiciously and as appropriate. And even in the worst areas there are officers who care to protect all citizens.

A lot of officers, especially in high-crime areas, are afraid and that fear drives them to make rash decisions.

Police officers that are perpetually “afraid” should quit and go to work at malwart.

There are two sides to all stories. It might be a lie or not. But anyway Keith should give it a rest already, he’s been portraying this bad white cop for a long time now and is not helping any cause with that. By the way I’ve seen a lot of bad black cop cases around too.

It almost like it’s written for a country where the police do things like jump out of a car and blow away a twelve year old.

    Toonmaster’s right: Cheap shot.

Caraporam too: Give it a rest already.

I’ve kept quiet but I have to call you on this one Keith. Brown got what anyone gets (regardless of race) when they fight with the cops and go for their gun. I do believe we have a very big problem in this country. Too many black men die at the hands of cops and other black men. I just hate the fact that Brown started this ball rolling. He had no respect for authority. None for the shop owner and none for the cop. He put himself in that situation. He was not an innocent bystander, he was a violent thief who met a violent end.

You don’t have to have a gun to be a killer or to be dangerous. As I said to you before, if I went for your gun, you would kill me. To protect yourself is human nature.

You may want to check your facts there. He was not running away. Per the 3 autopsies conducted on his remains, he was not shot in the back. He was not on the ground trying to give up. Wilson did not stand over him while he had his hands up and shoot him in the head. None of that was true. You can argue the opinions all you want. Those witnesses recanted their versions, made for TV, and some fessed up that they where not even there when the shooting happened. You may want to get your facts straight. You may also want to join in the conversation and be productive in finding solutions instead of simply stating that Darrin Wilson is a killer. Yes he may be a killer, but he is not a murderer. The same cannot always be said for many of the present and past situations that brought us here. Dialog gets us farther than finger pointing.
