You sort of ask for it when you strong-arm rob a store, attack the owner, attack a cop, and then try to take his gun.

Very strong comment. I just hope you don’t get attacked by the people who have to have someone to blame for the bad things that happen in their lives. And again it is all in the evidence with the biggest piece being the autopsy.

If Brown was white, It wouldn’t have made the St. Louis papers. Brown, Trevon, where is the standard for normal behavior?

To all right wingers: If you think this was an acquittal based on a thorough examination of evidence, please make an attempt to learn what a grand jury does and how it is not a trial. Also look up how many grand juries don’t indict. Never mind; I’ll tell you: 11 out of 162,000. Also if you find yourself repeating the details of the accused murderer’s story as if it were the definitive version of the events in question, you are probably stupid. Try to keep this in mind. Even racists know enough not to trust any random white guy with a clear motivation to lie.

If you see the FULL tapes of Rodney King you can see he got up, assaulted a cop, trying to kill him, and “asked for it”. Considering not just statements but forensic evidence two things become plain, Mr. Brown DID contribute to his own demise in the greatest degree, and Trayvon Martin WAS murdered by George Zimmerman, who walked. Those last two cases based on evidence, are NOT the same thing.

What’s sad in this country IS that assumptions are too often made, like when I was in law enforcement, and my boss was black, but if we were contacting the public together, it was always assumed that I was the boss! After a few hundred such contacts, you do start accumulating evidence.

In Vancouver, Canada, most of the cops used to be white. And tall and arrogant. Then they started hiring minorities to reflect the population. Now only a minority of the cops are white and tall and arrogant.

^^ So if you’re “White and tall” lol…..Don’t bother applying to be a cop because you’re probably not good at your job and most likely racist.Ok…lol

Excellent cartoon and comment by the cartoonist.-Now that the Media coverup for that family is exposed; we know the Stepdad is a 2-time prison convict with a profane vocabulary and anti-authority attitude which seems to have rubbed off on the stepson. It would be a good thing if the police do investigate Mr. Head for inciting the mobs after the news was made public that the grand jury had no justification to indict the officer Wilson for any wrong-doing at all.-Michael’s record is not that of a “saint” and “unarmed” doesn’t begin to reveal the danger he was, with bad attitude and inhanced anger due to smoking pot. He could easily have killed a cop with the cop’s gun….Officer Wilson was alone at night and no back-up at the scene. To tell a theft suspect to move from the center of the street to the sidewalk violates no “rights” of any suspect. It was Michael that was the aggressor and his intention to harm or kill a cop for doing his duty is no foundation for any idiotic movement built on a stack of LIES from Dorian, the partner in the theft.-There is no excuse for locals or outsiders for the destruction of businesses by vandalism and arson; businesses mostly belonging to minority owners and employers. How many “community organizers” were carrying out an agenda in Ferguson? It is insanity to burn down your own community to give the Media a “Big Show” for ratings!

old1953 said, about 14 hours ago @disgustedamerican “Ok, you are just making stuff up, or Wilson and his boss lied like dogs. Which do you choose?”-old’53, I never make up stuff.I wait and watch and listen; I watched my TV and paid attention to what the Democrat Prosecutor said (which is more than the reporters present did, shown by the stupid “Questions” they asked him that had they listened they would have known the answers.-I also scoured the internet for news stories that reported FACTS the jury found in 25 days of investigation and 70 hours of listening to testimony from 60 witnesses and being shown and hearing from experts in forensics on every detail of the shooting.-Obviously, that is a practice you do not use, old’53.Age 82, my lifetime #1 priority has been, find the truth. It may be that accepting God’s forgiveness for all my sins by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ helped me to be able to recognize “truth” in all matters I’m interested in. The Bible is the best textbook on how to live a life on earth that the Holy God can approve. I urge you and all gocomics readers to seek adoption into God’s eternal human family now before it is too late. God is working in Israel and in the world to bring this 2,000 year “Age” to a close. There will come a day when it is too late to ask God for forgiveness. God loves every human but allows every human to choose to love Him or not.God bless you.

Observation is not the same thing as assumption, btw. Babies and animals quickly learn to observe and react to facial expressions and body language of humans. I was struck by the facial expression of Michael Brown in his graduation photo, and the tape of him at the convenience store. The later released photo of him with a pistol, and a bottle of vodka on the table, wasn’t really all that necessary.

Referencing those trained skills of observation played a role in how I could affect over 1,200 arrests without getting either hurt myself, or killing anyone, including several armed with firearms, and quite a number who were a lot larger than me and potentially intimidating, except that they realized I wasn’t intimidated by them, BECAUSE of my training and experience. When they realized they couldn’t intimidate, they gave up.

Brown, like Rodney King, found their intimidation mentality led to their downfall. Yes, those two cases ARE very much related.

I guess no one here had to go through any Military police training. I remember having to fend off two attackers wearing protective suits with a baton. It’s a fabulous self-defense weapon, very effective. I really question the training and tactics of some Police Departments.

Hiram Bingham said, 2 days ago …..“So by becoming a Christian, you think that magically enables you and only you to see “Truth” and everyone else, even other Christians, are magically in error?”-Hiram, there is nothing “magical” about God giving a repentant sinner the ability to not only understand God’s written Word, the Bible, but God also helps all “born-again” and “new human” Christians to better understand the world and most of all, to appreciate that God hates liars, and how important it is to seek to find the truth in all matters.-Every good gift Hiram Bingham (or any other human) has came from your Creator God, the God of the Bible. More than that, God in the Person of Jesus His only Son, maintains the universe and keeps it in operation, providing all earthly benefits from gravity to climate to rain for crops and cycles to clean the oceans and the atmosphere.-We have everything good from God and Thanksgiving should be an everyday practice. Ingrates no one likes.
