Husband just reminded me, we have an original signed (Brant Parker) strip! We were at a YMCA Fund Raiser and the framed strip was a prize. we were lucky to have won! It’s hanging on our office wall. Mr. Walker sat at our table, nicest man ever. This must have been in the 1970s.

Happy Birthday “Wizard Of Id” citizens! Mr. Johnnie Hart would be proud if he were here today. Anyway, has anyone check the dungeon where the spook is? Beetle Bailey! He’s there because he call Sarge a “FINK!” The Walkers had to do their salute to this great strip also. At least the Spook has company for right now!

One of my favorite Wizard of Id strips:Sir Rodney walks by as a castle guard is talking with the king.GUARD (pointing at Sir Rodney): Why is he a knight, & I am not?KING: Because he once saved the entire kingdom!GUARD: Who else has a nose big enough to plug up a dike?!

I cut it out & gave it to a lesbian where I was working at the time; she fell on the floor laughing!

Congrats! Can’t remember when I started reading this or my age. It was in our Sunday paper, back in the day of Sunday comics, I MISS THAT!, but I have a bunch of old paperback comics in my attic, mostly this and Peanuts. I guess I should go get to them. I couldn’t part with them, but haven’t read them in years. Still have them though!

Big Congrats! I’ve been enjoying this strip since 1990. Hope it continues for a long, long time. Keep it clean. It works.
