Hmm, “emphasize the negativity”- just notice a little psychological manipulation on Fox: in the corner bar, Nasdaq is UP, so they have a single green chevron moving up the crawl, S & P and Dow are down a little, so there’s TRIPLE RED chevrons moving down. This is just one casual observation of how emotions are altered visually, let alone with the structure used on scripting for the readers, with subtle inflections of voice and tone also highly directed in “the news”.
Ah, yes, advertising and propaganda techniques in “news”, and we wonder who’s influencing negativity?
