Everyone knows that “Deus” means “2”, as in two X machines. And the X machine was used in Speed Racer. So, the answer is “Mystery Man X and his brother, Y”.

No. It’s true. They were a huge item on all the blogs of the day. They had an illegitimate child, part divine creation and part mechanistic determinist processes. You, my son, are that offspring. You are adopted.

“I wanted to teach you a lesson about relying on others for answers you should find for yourself.”

    “What does that mean?”

Apart from grading them down, teachers actually are amused by bogus answers like this, and compare them for laughs in the teacher’s lounge..In high school, we had one poor, clueless history teacher that didn’t catch us in fake footnotes. We would make up quotations from non-existent books by non-existent authors, using actual names from students in other classes. .I myself was once "Sir (my name) III, noted British historian. I know it was a mean thing to do, and I cringe when I think of it.

He says it with such a bitter expression. Apparently his aim was not humor but spite for his daughter.Sometimes I consider dropping this comic for the negativity.

@emptc12Don’t feel too bad. I used to just make up books in a history class I had in high school. The teacher wanted a 3 page book report about a book relevant to the period we were currently studying every week. So I just made up a book, author, publisher, year, etc. And then I would write a 3 page report just using my imagination. Got an “A” on every report.
