Pretty much swums up the words of the Archbishop of Quebec City (Cardinal Ouellette, head of the catholic church in Canada)

I know many catholics who stillbelieve in catholicism (quite a few won’t eat meat today) but very few still believe in the church)

They’ll settle out of court and it’ll be business as usual until the next case.

But keep subsidizing them. They need the money.

I can name 4 perpetrators, that I personally knew, whose crimes were covered up. While I got an excellent education at the Catholic HS I attended several of my classmates were not so lucky.

Chuckle…nice Still a nasty situation. I was contacted by a law firm not too long ago. The extent beyond what I was personally aware of was scary.

go get them child ! just make sure your attorney is NOT catholic.

I’m sure you know that. I just felt compelled to comment, for from your postings it is clearly evident you were raised to question with forethought and respect. Which I believe is a learned behavior, taught by a loving parent or teacher.

I was an altar boy for years and no priest ever laid a finger on me. The damage to my self-esteem continues to this day.

My mom said something interesting the other day;

“There are thousands of adults saying the same thing and the Vatican doesn’t believe them…imagine what it was back when they were just kids!”
