Maybe we should threaten to stone Nancy Pelosi and her family, like Alec Baldwin civilly said during the Clinton impeachment.

@Radish: That’s right, they are trying to silence us.

With all of our problems, can’t we have discussions, instead of what is going on now, when any action or comment by Obama or the DEMS is attacked as a great evil that will destroy America.

People are throwing bricks, shouting down speakers at public meetings, carrying guns because they think the Socalist Government is comming after them, all because we have reached the point where they think that the Liberials and Dems aren’t just wrong, but they have come to believe they are evil, and evil must be fought at all times.

It is time for Republicans and the GOP to step up and stop using fear as a recruiting method, and call out the Tea Baggers, Birthers, and gun nuts for the people they are instead of encourageing them.

@Ken That violence that you just mentioned is the real problem that we are facing. I could care less if some idiot right wing goober calls me whatever, but I have a problem when they are spitting at me, calling me derogatory slurs and beating my @$$ at the same time. That’s not democracy that’s assault. Dick Army and his group Freedom Works should stop this nonsense or better yet prosecuted!

    @Stripper Lord You’re a dumb animal.

When a few wackos called Bush and other Republicans “Nazis” and “joked” about killing Bush, your fellow Republicans were beyond themselves with patriotic fury, proclaiming about how dissent was treasonous and Americans should stick together, blaming it on all Democrats (or “liberals”)!

But, being hypocritical double talkers, you conservatives turn around and say nothing, or even cheer, as a few wingnuts called Obama and other Democrats “Nazis,” “fasticts” and “joked” about killing them.

Lordy, check a mirror, there might be a plank in your eye.

There’s a difference between calling out Bush and doing similarly for Obama. Bush started two illigal stupid wars that resulted in hundreds of thousands of innocents being killed, spent trillions that could have been better spent at home, cut taxes for the rich, and wrecked the economy.

Obama is trying to correct the damage and implement a more universal health care plan that will save lives and increase the quality of life for Americans. To justify vilifying Obama because it was done to Bush is ridiculous.

My understanding is moot in mathematics is a problem that cannot be satisfactorily solved…?

Radish–I know a building inspector who would say mute point often and he would just grin when I mentioned moot as a counterpoint/correction.

Now English Teacher tells us mute point is legitimate? Gasp!

(Sad but true story line about the supervisor, eh, Radish?)

Well Doc I sorta thought about the humor factor but then I considered the source–an 84 yr. old teacher! Not that she wouldn’t make funny…(and we all love a good pun) which by definition is bad, a pun being the lowest form of humor.

Time for me to press the mute button.

The “eight long years” I remember some very legitimate criticism of some disastrous Bush policy that I would not characterize as demonizing. Policy that resulted in hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths and a wrecked economy. Perhaps you can give some examples. And what was said was that if you oppose Bush policy you are unpatriotic, hate America, etc.

Now - the majority DO want health care reform including the bill that was passed. The reaction from some on the right includes racism, homophobia, property damage, death threats, ugly name-calling, and intimidation. Can’t help but think the reaction is much about wanting the president and the democrats to fail.

“For 8 long Years, The Democrats demonized ‘W’ and nothing was said, Nothing a all.”

Really? Because I remember a LOT being said and written, by the right wing in particular. Especially at first, before some of the media realized they were being played for fools (without being paid, to boot!); dissent wasn’t just criticized, it was not even shown. You think the tea parties that are so popular nowadays got even close to the number of people that got out to protest a possible war in 2003?
