My regional incumbent candidates have been MIA since August. However, each one has been generous enough to invite citizens to talk to a representative (not the candidate himself, of course). Each has scheduled up to a 90-minute session of “availability”, each one scheduled between 9 AM and noon on a work day. Who says you have to pay for access?
my demo congressman has shown up only once and that was in court to say the bank should not take his business just because he has not made a payment in 2 years // if it works maybe I should try it
No, he’s little more than a partisan hack. Mind you, I’m not wild about the Democratic challenger. With no third party option, looks like it’s going to be yet another “lessor of two evils” election for me.
“Which goes to show that you spend a lot of Time with Democrats but know little to nothing about conservative Republicans.”Um, yeah….. I’m not a Democrat and I don’t vote for them except as a last resort—“lessor of two evils” and all that. Just in case you didn’t notice, my post expressed dissaproval for both candidates. As for “conservative” Republicans. It all depends on your definition of “conservative.” The Republican Party has shifted further to the right and those who were considered “conservative” 30 years ago are piratically Democrats today. Was passes for “conservative” today is the likes of Michele Bachmann or Sara Palin. Neither of whom advocate actually conserving anything.
“…about Republicans having no loyalty?”.Compared to Democrats they don’t. Democrats in congress voted as 1 block for Obama’s agenda and come November the general consensus is they are going to get slaughtered for it..I remember the final years of the shrub’s presidency, very few Republicans were fans of him then. Where the left have no abandoned Obama (the rank and file)

Oh, I believe Republicans have loyalty. It’s for sale to the highest bidder. Mind you I feel the same way about most of the Democrats.
