Yes, a camera that uses 6×6 film (or size 120/220), but I don’t recall those packaged in the canisters like 35mm. . Gotta give artistic license I guess.

He’d also be shooting hand-held 35mm, hence the film cans. The 120 or 220 film came in little foil pouches.
