The Right-wingnuts have succeeded in killing off the most effective organization that registered poor people to vote and helped prevent the working poor from losing their homes.
I hope that the GOP thugs will pay for their false slander and illegal actions against those who fight to preserve our democracy!
This is why the Texas School Board had changed our history to remove the word democracy from describing our country. They now say that the United States never was a democracy. Our history books will now refer to the U.S.A. as a group of loosely organized states: a federal republic–a self-described Christian Theocracy. Who will be left to tell our youth the truth?
Like that part about ACORN’s tampered lists, when Acorn blew the whistle on those after some of its workers tried to defraud IT by pumping them full of fake names? Yeah, that was a major rightwing talking point about the WHOLE of ACORN being corrupt. Funny how it turns out, eh?
Hey, and what happened to that intrepid young journalist who went undercover for the hooker story? Last thing I heard he wanted to enter the premises of a Democratic pol and do some maintenance on the phone lines. All heart, that kid.
