I was once run down by a moped, in a pedestrian crossing. Where I live, I guess they are targets, not safety measures. Can’t complain, that accident set in train a series of events that changed my life for the better—and no, I didn’t get awarded any damages.

Yeah, make sure you see that cement truck coming so you can get out of the way.

My g-grandfather was run over by a milk truck. Sort of poetic justice for a dairy farmer.

Be sure to always look both ways before crossing, specially the way to your left before the way to your right, that´s the way they will hit you from.
Most people I see crossing a road look to their right side when already putting a leg on the way, if not already all the way over the road.
I must save about 3 dumb pedestrian´s lives every week by stopping or altering my course because of them crossing when they shouldn´t.
Oh, and never try to cross a road before a speeding 18 wheeler, not so much for the truck itself, but because you won´t see the car passing it, which will be the one to hit you.

With all the advice, why is it people still get hit by trains? I mean, they are big, VERY BIG, and noisy, VERY NOISY, and did I say they are BIG? I mean, how is it you can miss something as huge as a TRAIN!.Oh, I almost forgot… you actually need to pay attention when you are behind the wheel and driving…

I once was in a bus that was rear ended by a car (no injuries). The driver apologetically said she didn’t see the bus!

Calvin and his pet tiger Hobbes have just finished a fun game and are waiting for Uncle Max to finish his job as a cement mixer.
