The joke would be more coherent if Peter had said “Paige, we’ve barely been in school for two months!” or something else that doesn’t necessarily imply that two months is a short time.
I had an easy solution to Homework. I didn’t do it until I was in danger of not passing the class. Of course that attitude didn’t endear me to my Parents or Teachers. I did graduate with a 3.23 GPA.
