I don’t begrudge the President the chance to play golf now and then. My objection is to his mentally checking himself out of the duties of the Presidency. It increasingly appears that we are being governed by a semi-retired President looking for ways to amuse himself while he runs out his term.
The golf thing is totally stupid, considering just the simple fact that nobody can ever find Boehner, except out on the links where he pays about 70 K a year on green fees.
But remember, don’t blame Bush for cutting brush while Iraq, Afghanistan, and over 5,000 American troops “burned”, Nero was a piker with his fiddle.
