This whole arc reminds me of a song from Weird Al’s first album: “Buckingham Blues.”
I don’t think the use of the term “muggle” is a reference to Harry Potter in this case. It also means a common person, especially one who is ignorant or has no skills.
That would almost be enough to persuade me to watch the half-time performance.
