I know that it is the belief that “organic” means no pesticides, etc. That, I am afraid, is merely the hype. What it means in practice is that any herbicides or pesticides used were not manufactured chemicals; chemicals that are found in their “natural” form are ok. Just as poisonous, and you have to use more of them. I was merely making a sad little joke, as the terms are rather vacant of meaning regarding what people believe, versus what they actually mean.
I’m sure the math teacher isn’t the only teacher to call about Paige falling asleep in class. I admit, I almost fell asleep in one of my English classes, due to the fact that I was getting over a cold, and my teacher tapped me on my shoulder.
I jumped, some of my classmates laughed, and I wished that the floor would open up and swallow me at that time.
