Please consider how “W” used “Executive privilege” after 911, with emotional (unbalanced) support to get “war powers” and “military commissions” going to take away OUR rights. Darth Cheney and “W”, with their associates like Wolfowitz et al, pulled the wool over the nation’s eyes, but just told us, “the lanolin in the wool is GOOD for you!”.
^No, which I’ve often expressed, as well as other disapprovals of some of Obama’s actions and inactions. Nobody here seems to note those. Obama’s a long way from “perfect”, but he’s a LOT closer to rational than “W” and Cheney. It would help if Boehner and McConnell hadn’t pledged before he was inaugurated to drive him out of office, and see to it that nothing positive was allowed under their “watch”. They’ve kept their promise for inaction, and filibusters, and phony bills sent to the Senate, but they’ve done nothing to support the nation, or our people.
The republicans are just mad because Reagan and Bush used so many more executive orders than Obama. If they stop them, what will they do if the Americans are stupid enough to elect another republican to destroy what’s left of the American economy. Tax breaks for corporations that pay no taxes and further destruction of the few safety nets that are left for the poor, whose jobs have been outsourced to slave wage paying countries. Is this a great country or what?
