Funny. Back when this was written, I was a Republican. That played out after 1980, when the party started to get obsessed with insanities and idiocies, and decided that Jesus Christ had a political position on the ownership of the Panama Canal.

David Green:; I can’t agree with you. He had just been popularly elected by a sizable majority. The job of the opposition party was to work with him to save the people of this country from the disaster that had come down from W’s mis-administration. Obama at no time had any plan to destroy this country and if they try to say that he did then it was because they are lunatics and their ideology is insane. And I say again that the Republican party is in the hands of the lunatic fringe who was and still is ready to default on our obligations and plunge the world into a depression the likes of which we’ve never seen. These traitors have only the interests of the corporations and religious doctrinaires in mind and the hell with everyone else. If they get control now and keep pulling the country to the far, far right, we’ll all reap the whirlwind. We need to get back to a centrist, non-ideological government and quickly. In the face of this treason, Obama’s done a hell of a job. Not perfect like all the prez’s who preceded him (sic), but a hell of a job.
