Mom should have Ruthie help a little, but no. My mom did not make home sewn clothes, our clothes came from church sales of old styles that was out of fashion. My mom went cheap on clothes. That was when I was a kid. Now I had an Aunt who sewed all the clothes for Uncle her husband, even gave my dad a shirt not certain he liked it as he did not wear it that much.
