Fact, truth, and explanations are not needed, it snowed therefore Global Warming in not true.

If it were true then we would have to do something about it, and, well we just don’t want to, it sounds to hard, and Obama might get credit for it.

    Let’s talk about teleprompters!

SO SAYETH THE NAYSAYERS & THE GOP.

What I say is don’t try to teach a pig to dance, it will frustrate you and confuse the pig.

“When there is less snow, the alarmists say that’s because of global warming. When there is more snow, they say it’s because of global warming. Now, you cannot have it both ways, otherwise you’re contradicting yourself and proving that all you are is on a political mission.”

Actually rickbooker, that is true. Climate change is about change. The trend is toward hotter and dryer conditions, but there will be times when the weather will be the complete opposite, with more unusual and severe winter storms. The climate is changing.

Accelerated climate change is about having 6.5 billion people too many on this planet, each inhaling, exhaling, farting and consuming the planet.

The climate was not static before global warming. Trust me, it’s going to change no matter what anybody does. The tectonic plates are going to shift, volcanoes are going to erupt, and sunny Barcelona will one day be at the magnetic north pole.

These discussions show how important it is to give people a decent education in science. Those who don’t have a good understanding of science and a decent control of logical thought should hesitate to make pronouncements beyond their knowledge. The idea that these snowstorms somehow disprove the theory of climate change is just ludicrous.

I am not saying, by the way, that there should be no critique of the theory. But let’s try to keep it intelligent and to the point. Everyone has the right to speak, but in some instances that just means that people have a right to look foolish.

Human, I agreed with everything you said, until this:

“The snow on the east coast should be in the Californian Sierras. California should sue you to get it back but they are at fault due to many things. The High pressure over California push the water laden jet stream north which then came back south dropping the snow that was suppose to land in the Sierras on the east coast.”

That is patent nonsense, as the Sierras have too experienced very high levels of precipitation … snow.

Weather is not the same as climate. Global warming is not the same as climate change.

That is the current mantra. Unfortunately, the advocates of human caused global climate change have made so many errors in presenting their theory that the skeptics have been able to functionally destroy whatever they wish to accomplish.

In a poll of what actions the US government should make to face our national problems environment/climate change came in dead last. Its the economy, jobs etc etc.

An early error, and there are hundreds of citations, the advocates focused on climate warming as proof of their theory. Everyone remembered similar articles about another Ice Age coming and the alarmist scare didn’t work. They focused on record high temperatures as proof. When record cold hit, as it does every few years, they immediately changed the name of their cause from global warming to climate change. Not very convincing.

Then their scientists, to be polite, lied and violated every principle of science because the end justifies the means. As this information slowly surfaces, not from MSM, the public is aghast and turned off.

Finally, the proposed solutions will cost the west $trillions and the Chinese and Indian governments are ignoring the required response because it would harm their economies.

Do you wonder why the anthropological cause theory is fast becoming discredited?

The “intellect” and “education” of those child-like creatures who can’t spell the names of anyone they disagree with- proves, along with their “facts”- they left school before completely grasping the premise of the alphabet- let alone physics.

There is only ONE TRUTH they’re sure of, well two actually- 1. Moses used a particle accelerator to assure all his teachings on physics were accurate before he sat down at his computer to write “Genesis”, and 2. Saddam Hussein had 600 nuclear weapons in his garage, in the trunk of his Rolls Royce.

    Absolutely correct!!!

For if we did, there would have been no chance of indoctrinating the vast masses with this HOAX.

“I am sure missing global warming about now.”

So true! It was 75 degrees here in December and I was loving it… and then it’s like … freezing now and I miss the abnormally warm winter. :’( Oh, and in that 2 month period Global Warming was both proven and disproved (we got snow twice). ;)

In the 1950’s, many government scientists were advocating a tri-fold increase in man’s production of CO2 in order to create greater growing harvests and increase the growing seasons…even if we grant Anthropological “Climate Change”, the government STILL cannot present a reasonable argument that this is necessarily a bad thing!

And THAT is head in the sand…err…snow…which we actually have very little of in the Northeast this year.

To quote Strother Martin in the movie, “Cool Hand Luke”, “What we have here is failure to communicate.” The problem is not so much with climate change or global warming but a decided SHIFT in weather patterns that is melting the ice in areas where it has been accumulating and bringing snow and ice to areas where it hasn’t before. That makes it Shifting Climate Patterns - a cyclical phenomena that just happens to be occurring at the present time. In South Louisiana we have a saying, “If you don’t like the weather, wait a while - it will change.”

” … why not pump up the movement for it and then innovate products in the US to export?”

Fine, so do it with your own dime > make millions.

In the meantime, 80% of our tax dollars that are supposed to generate the ‘green jobs” are going to China …creating simple jobs …

human, I must again agree with virtually everything you wrote.

There are indeed many man-made issues that effect the Globe.

The continuing loss of the rain forests in South America and Asia is heart wrenching, not to mention its damage to the Earth’s ecology and climate …

The problem with the anthropogenic climate change is that the science has been hijacked by nefarious forces that seek to control / govern all human activity, which is why they focused on the CO2, even though, as a greenhouse gas it is almost harmless as compared to water vapor or methane, and man produces a very small fraction of the gas anyway.

The World is spending billions of Dollars just to prove that man-made CO2 is causing problems, any problem will do, just get some scientific proof of such. There are more scientists being funded by the politically vested government and non-government institutions, than any other science.

It would take but a fraction of those funds to buy up all of the remaining rain-forests and protect them …

Interestingly though, the US now has more forests than we had a 100 years ago - who new?
