Actually, Obama was the president elect in Dec 2008. He didn’t get sworn in until Jan 20th 2009. It is W’s signature on the Wilberforce bill. Nice try on passing the blame though.
I’m sorry, but if the President wants Congress to work with him perhaps he should also try to work with Congress. And if he wants to get a specific bill passed over Congressional opposition he should make a case to the public about that bill. Simply complaining that “Congress won’t let me do stuff” sounds like someone looking to pass the buck on his own failures. (Which might explain why the cartoonist ignores the fact that Democrats control the Senate, and therefore half of Congress).
I am unaware of the historical event you reference. Please advise me of when (1) Congress proposed to pass a bill only upon specific terms; (2) President Obama agreed to these terms EXACTLY; and (3) Congress then demanded additional concessions before it would agree to pass the bill.
my wife came here from mexico LEGALLY….medical tests…criminal background checks…fees…attorney expenses…time spent…we have laws…mexico has laws…ALL FRIGGING counties have laws to insure that people who want to come to their counties are law abiding/healthy/ .people who can support themselves…these people (because we have a lawless president) are coming here ILLEGALLY…and by the way a small percentage are kids…the far greater are adult…and we KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THEM…no country on earth allows just anybody to enter their country…we have criminals, gang members and terrorists entering and the savior Obama is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE!….the cartoon is vile and anti-american…and supports lawlessness.
